GarageTown Colorado at Highlands Ranch Ribbon Cutting Event

With the impending sale of its 56th storage condominium unit, the countdown begins on transferring control of the GarageTown at Highlands Ranch facility from the corporation to its owners. GarageTown will be celebrating this milestone with a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Celebration on April 30, from 5 to 7 pm.

In line with GarageTown's condo declarations, ownership control of the facility occurs 60 days after 75% of the units (56 of the 71) are sold. The facility will have reached this target with its ‘recession resilient’ product offering in only 16 months, and expects to have the 15 remaining units sold by mid year.

“We’re all about community,” says Mike Ard of GarageTown. “Whether it’s our close-knit group of unit owners or the Highlands Ranch population in general, GarageTown has been embraced by this community since we opened our first overhead door in late December of 2007. Most of the current GarageTown owners are residents of Highlands Ranch,” continues Ard, “so it seems only fitting that we mark ownership transfer of the facility to these folks with an official Chamber ribbon cutting and a little fun.”

In addition to a safe, enclosed ownership storage facility to keep and care for your cars, RVs, boats, or to run your business, GarageTown provides opportunity for many others in the area as well. “Our owners seem to always be looking for things like floor coatings, pallet shelving, cabinets, and similar goods and services, says Ard. “Last month, we signed up a HR Chamber Member to service our fire extinguisher equipment, and, recently, we also started offering area realtors up to a 3% co-op for helping us sell the remaining units. Accordingly, the Ribbon Cutting should be the perfect time for everyone to come down and see what GarageTown is all about. Hope to see you there.”

Letter to the editor.

A recent letter to the editor. This may or may not be published, but it's worth reading.

Take a time out from the economy, go to your garage.

With all the doom and gloom stories we’ve been hearing from the media, it’s hard not to think of anything else right now. I’ve been very fortunate to work for a company called GarageTown USA. We build, market and sell private storage condominiums (think an extra huge garage for you to use for whatever you want) as well as sell franchises for others to build under our proven model. Our office is full of smiles because we have the perfect escape from the overwhelming media coverage of our economic times, and so do you, it’s your garage.
When you go into the garage to start a project, to clean, or to just get out some trinkets from the “glory days” you aren’t thinking about the DOW or your 401k. Each time I go to our personal GarageTown unit I see our grandparents RV and think about how much fun we’ve had with them over the years, our seasonal junk, mostly Christmas lights and decorations, and the beginning of new projects that brings me hope for things to come. I really hope that everyone will take some time to go rummage through their old stuff, or do the opposite and get started on something that makes them smile. If I go to one more event and the first thing out of someone’s mouth is related to the economy, I’m going to throw them in my garage.

Dallas/Fort Worth Custom & Rod Show is Hot!

The only thing hotter than GarageTown USA Storage condos coming to the DFW area were the hotrods at the show, they we’re smoking! While the media continues to report anything but optimism in the United States, the thousands of Americans cruising the auto and motorcycle show were all smiles.

Hot Rods have always been more then metal and a material possession; they provide Americans with a window back to our heritage, family gatherings and traditions. There is nothing like standing next to “dads car” beaming with pride long after he is gone knowing he is there with you.

The GarageTown DFW team is proud to offer a place to turn wrenches, keep the classics safe and secure, or even build a new one. We are accepting names on our pre-construction priority wait list for our DFW locations. Those interested please call 1-866-my-gtown (1-866-694-8696) or email sales@garagetown.com

LA Boat Show Attendees see need for Storage Condominiums

Review: LA Boat Show Feb 7-8, 11-15, 2009. LA Convention Ctr

GarageTown USA has presence at the LA Boat show.

Even though the display area was scaled back this year it did not slow excitement and interest in Storage Condominiums. Attendees had numerous questions for our GarageTown representatives, mostly consisting of, "Where are you in California?".

With the Lake Havasu recreation area close by, boaters see the growing need for safe, secure storage out of the elements. After all, if your going to put $800,000 into an Elimator speedboat, or invest your hard earned cash into a family runabout, shouldn’t it have a place to call home?

GarageTown USA is moving forward with its plans to expand via franchising in many western states including California. GarageTown USA currently has locations in AK, AZ, CO, ID, TX, WA.

Dallas Winter Boat Show Creates Excitement for GarageTown USA®

Dallas, Texas – While the veteran exhibitors at the show indicated a slightly lower traffic level than the past few years, the activity and excitement of the attendees was still high. The show represented GarageTown’s future entry into the Dallas/Fort Worth marketplace and the reception was very positive. The representatives from GarageTown-DFW were pleased at the number of attendees who were genuinely interested in acquiring storage condominiums and are confident they met several future owners.

We look forward to finalizing all details so that we can formally provide GarageTown ownership to the Dallas/Fort Worth marketplace in the near future.
